DR. DRE debuts his upcoming 3rd-studio album called the detox in a new doctor pepper soda commercial. the album was originally set for a 2004 release but has been pushed back 5-years and is now supposed to drop some time in late 2009!
the commercial which began airing june-1st is the first official release of some of dre's new beats off the album. check out the youtube vid below:
theres a lot of hype and heresy and hearsay going on about this project that i cant condone. and i dont want to speculate too much as to what the doctor will provide. but i have a lot of faith in his creative ability.
plus it has also been previously reported that other rap greats like JAY-Z and NAS and wayne and fifty will be making an appearance on the new detox. and of course his rolldog EMINEM as well.
according to nielsen soundscan the doctors last album has sold over 7-million copies in the united states alone. and surely we are all looking forward to spending our allowance money from mom on your next one too, mister doctor sir!
