just discovered a new watering hole last night in the fairfax neighborhood district. its not really new since it opened in 2004 but is new to me since i dont get out to bars very often these days.
the dime is a refreshing MIDCITY spot for inexpensive cocktails and non pretentious ellay ambiance. local deejay whats his name you heard at your friends house party last summer was spinning relatively chill music. some TUPAC + BIGGIE hits mixed in with radio jams from 1996 and popular new songs we dont quite dislike yet.
good energy. good ratio of hotties to hotties. attractive bar tenders. simple drinks. mellow moods. casual clothing . . . what more do you really want for a $7-beverage?!
the dime is located at 442 north fairfax avenue in los angeles between melrose avenue and beverly boulevard. they are open daily from 7pm to 2am.
