first it was prescription weed now its longer eyelashes !!
LATISSE which is .03% bimatoprost ophthalmic solution is the first prescription treatment for hypotrichosis which is the dermatological term used to describe a condition of no hair growth. hypotrichosis is a common feature of hallermann-streiff syndrome and can also describe the lack of hair regrowth that often occurs after chemotherapy.
the latisse product seems to work effectively at growing fuller and darker and longer and more eyelashes due to its active ingredient bimatoprost which prolongs the anagen growth phase of the lashes. this once-a-day latisse treatment has already proven to be effective showing full results after 12 to 16-weeks and has been approved by the BROOKE SHIELDS and the food and drug administration.

i cannot personally cosign this product because i do not trust that it is healthy to use yet. and while latisse is not going to make your eyeballs fall out of your skull 4% of patients have already reported eye itching and redness after applying the product.
hyperpigmentation also known as skin darkening may cause certain area of eyelid skin to become darker than others (no thanks) but this has been reported as reversible so far after discontinuation of the latisse product. also this product may increase brown iris pigmentation. and although no iris pigmentation problems have been reported yet from clinical studies this side effect is likely to be permanent. yikes!
so while latisse has proven to be effective in making slores look hotter you might not want to hop on the eyelash bandwagon with brooke shields and her slew of asian porn stars and drag queens just yet. i would recommend investing in some new mascara and possibly some semi-permanent extensions because this is just the beginning of the lash revolution and i believe we have a lot more glaucoma treatments to exploit before we find a legitimate cure for cosmetic hypotrichosis.
