born in the year of THRILLER i have some personal attachment to this man. i had the pleasure of meeting him briefly in person with bubbles in the early 1980s at his home in los angeles. he was totally sweet and generous and cool with me and didnt even touch my no no spot . . .
but setting all the child molester and rhinoplasty and necrofile and monkey and uncle tom and mccauley culkin and burn victim and WIGGER JOKES aside for just a moment i would like to appreciate some of the many things michael gave to this world.
michael jackson holds the record for fastest ticket sales in history. he has had 28-top 10-hits on the billboard hot-100 trailing only the beatles and elvis presley and madonna who currently leads with 37 top-10 hits. jackson holds records not only in the united states but in the uk and france in germany and spain and in canada and australia and norway!
michael was one of the wealthiest entertainers in the world with a fortune of nearly $800-million and has supported more charities than any other pop singer either with monetary donations made or participation in activities with over 40-organizations. in 1986 he signed the largent endorsement ever for product promotion with pepsi cola for $15-million dollars. and in 2001 artist jeff koons sculpture of michael and bubbles sold at auction at sothebys in new york for over $5.5 million.

he left us a legacy of MOONWALKING and red leather and bad meaning good. and he left us with a sense of hope for vitiligo and lupus patients everywhere that they may one day achieve a balanced skin tone!
there is not too much more i can say because his music really speaks for itself. michael jackson, you are SOHIPHOP and we are all going to miss you but you will forever remain in our hearts and playlists!!
