THOM YORKE the english lead singer and principal songwriter of the ALTERNATIVE ROCK group radiohead just made a new song called all for the best which he will contribute to a new compilation album to be released in september.
the album entitled ciao my shining star: the songs of mark mulcahy is a tribute to alternative musician MARK MULCAHY whose wife melissa died suddenly last september the album features exclusive contributions from artists such as thom yorke and BEN KWELLER and dinosaur junior and michael stipe and many others and will also serve as a benefit to help mulcahy continue his career while raising his 3-year old twin daughters.
mulcahy has received homage from radiohead at various shows and NICK HORNBY in his book called 31-songs. he has also opened up for many notable artists throughout his career including JEFF BUCKLEY and oasis. in the late 1980s and early 1990s mark mulcahy was the front man for the new haven connecticut based band called miracle legion. and formed polaris in the mid 1990s. mulchay has composed for and performed in a couple musicals and is still working on his solo career today on loose records.
