AMERICAN FOOTBALL is a total mystery to me. i dont claim to understand it and actually i really know nothing about the sport other than the fact that 1) they conduct a super bowl party every year at the end of the season with a lot of commercials 2) the new england patriots dont suck as much as the rest of the professional sports teams from boston and 3) that its really hot when guys get together for male bonding and sit around to watch it on television.
but recently it has come to my attention that there is a slore controversy going on over the SAN DIEGO CHARGERS linebacker named SHAWNE MERRIMAN who is originally from washington d.c. and was drafted to the NFL from the university of maryland in 2005 . . . and that interests me !!
the story goes that merriman was dating the model GLORIA VELEZ on the down low for about 4-years until recently when they thought she might be pregnant and she then found him at a white party at @imdiddy's crib messing around with TILA TEQUILA.
velez found out that she is not pregnant with the merriman kiddo but did make a recent appearance on the angela yee lip service radio show to discuss their relationship and why they broke up and who came between them. she referred to tila tequila as a "4'11" midget, myspace hoe, non-talented b_tch" and was hyping up some twitter love triangular drama on the air. so now were in limbo just waiting for tila to retaliate with a brilliant comeback i am sure.
the second bite of football news i have to share is about the fallen quarterback MICHAEL VICK who was sentenced to 23-months in prison for bankrolling a dog fighting operation.
vick has served some of his time now and is trying to get signed by an NFL team again. he will have an option to sign with the upstart united football league which begins in october and he would then be free to sign with the national football league once UFL season ends. the UFL commissioner michael huyghue has not cleared vick to sign with his league yet however his rights have been assigned to orlando.
prior to dog fighting michael vick was one of the the highest paid players in the national football league when he signed a 10-year deal with the atlanta falcons for $130-million dollars in december of 2004. earlier this year it was rumored that michael vick was working on a reality tv deal because he reportedly owes millions to creditors.
vick is currently a FREE AGENT though he is suspended from NFL play at this time and getting hated on by every animal lover and facebook group from here to florida.
