
mcdonalds restaurant is the biggest seller of chicken meat in the united states however the chickens killed by mcdonalds suppliers are slaughtered using an outdated method that results in extreme suffering including broken bones and hemorrhaging and extreme bruising of the birds.
PETA has stepped up to the plate in an attempt to get mcdonalds to take the responsibility of reducing animal abuse and demanding that their us suppliers use a less cruel method of slaughter by creating a mc cruelty campaign.
the campaign includes an UNHAPPY MEAL which looks like mcdonalds deceptive brightly colored packaging at first glance however the inside of the box is stained with fake blood and contains blood filled packets urging mcdonalds to ketchup with the times. plus a bloody plastic chicken and a chicken mc cruelty tee shirt wrapped up like a sandwich.
PETA's mock meal also warns that eating mcdonalds food can have fatal consequences for animals and humans alike and urges parents to embrace a healthy diet for their families that does not involve cruelty to chickens and other animals and to tell mcdonalds that "WE'RE HATIN' IT !!"
