CHICAGO BEARS have not won a super bowl championship since 1986 when they beat the new england patriots 46-to-10. however i have a good feeling about them for the upcoming football season.
in april the bears traded kyle orton for their new quarterback slash hearthrob hunk JAY CUTLER. cutler was born in santa claus indiana and played college ball at vanderbilt. he was drafted to the broncos in 2006 and now wears jersey number-6 for the bears.
he is pretty adorable and apparently he can play football too !! cutler knows where his receivers like to have the ball placed on throws plus he can deliver those passes to the right location according to ESPN senior analyst john clayton. and to top it off he played at vanderbilt with the bears split end earl bennett and they totally gel together.
the offensive lineup is looking optimistic too with bennett and devin hester and greg olsen and desmond clark. the bears management values the strength of the receiving corps and according to CUTLER they are going to win a lot of games by winning on the outside.

it will be cutlers job in the early weeks of the season to create enough receiving threats and help the running offense to grow in 2009. cutlers ability to throw and recognize defensive alignments should open up bigger plays for matt forte and his backup kevin jones.
the bears defense is still strong and they are hoping to rejuvenate their core group of defenders brian urlacher and lance briggs and tommie harris who are returning for their 6th-season together. plus cornerback ZACH BOWMAN has been the star of the offseason by constantly making plays. he has had 8-interceptions and nearly 20-pass breakups?! in the organized team activities and mini camps.
the bears will play their first game of the season at green bay against the packers on september 13th. get pumped up!
