a new california law passed this week which prevents COSMETIC FACIAL SURGERY unless a physical exam is conducted 30-days prior to the procedure with written clearance provided.
this new law was inspired by the death of donda west the mother of the fashion plate slash superstar slash rapper KANYE WEST. misses west died at age-58 due to complications from cosmetic surgery related to preexisting coronary artery disease and multiple post operative factors following her surgery nearly 2-years ago.
some people have argued that the #dondawestlaw should not single out cosmetic surgery and apply a different standard than other procedures. however this bill will potentially save lives because often times patients may think they are well enough for cosmetic surgery when in reality they are not.
