@VANSWARPEDTOUR is a music and extreme sports festival that tours the UNITED STATES and canada as well as JAPAN and australia and europe setting up venues in parking lots and fields to showcase alternative sports such as bmx and SKATEBOARDING as well as "alternative" music such as PUNK ROCK and HIP-HOP.@VANSWARPEDTOUR was created by kevin lyman in 1994 and started as a skate punk and third wave ska tour but later began to feature mostly POST HARDCORE and POP PUNK and METALCORE acts. older bands like BAD RELIGION and NOFX have played the tour numerous times as well as hardcore and street punk bands. and the recent line ups have featured a diversity of genres including HIP-HOP and REGGAE as well as alternative rock and punk rock and ska.
2010 is the 16th installment of the annual summer festival with 43-dates beginnin on june 25th in LOS ANGELES in carson california and ending in hillsboro oregon on august 15th. THE WARPED TOUR KICK OFF PARTY will take place on april 9th at THE KEY CLUB in west hollywood and will feature the GRIND TIME NOW EMCEE BATTLE hosted by our very own ROLLIN ROCKERS !!! plus andrew wk and pierce the veil and the pretty reckless and death punch and the reverend peytons big band.

plenty of the 200+ bands are peeps i have never heard of and there are way too many to many so be sure to check out their website. however @VANSWARPEDTOUR has confirmed the worlds largest rap battle league @GRINDTIMENOW as well as ALKALINE TRIO and the all american rejects and every time i die and pennywise and sum41 and @MIKEPOSNER !! ;$ and cobra skulls and gardening, not architecture and middle finger salute and when girls kiss girls plus AGENT ORANGE and the dickies and manic hispanic and many many more.
and in addition to music this tour brings attractions like a half pipe for skaters and bikers and a flea market atmosphere for merchandise which includes indie record labels and magazine publishers as well as non profit organizations and product sponsors. and many of the bands will be available in their tents for autographs and meet-and-greet after the performances!
