Brooklyn rapper slash actor slash singer slash one-half of Black Star, Mos Def has long been regarded as a formidable talent by art school dropouts and backpack toting underground devotees around the globe. He has increasingly been pushed to the fringes of alternative Rap/Hip-Hop since his late 90's Black Star days with Talib Kweli. Maybe it will take Kanye to reign him in - Mos Def recently appeared on a track called "Lord Lord Lord" with Raekwon, singer Charlie Wilson and Swizz Beatz.
