October 9th would have been John Lennon's 70th birthday, He was killed 30 years ago just two months after celebrating his 40th birthday - There will be a concert held in his honor this year on November 12th at the Beacon Theatre in NYC. The lineup includes Patti Smith, Jackson Browne, Aimee Mann, Cyndi Lauper and others. Proceeds will go to the Playing for Change Foundation which promotes peace with music.
