Big Meech aka Demetrius Flenory was one of the brothers who helped found the Black Mafia Family (BMF), a multi-million dollar drug trafficking organization from Detroit with links to Mexican drug cartels in L.A. and Atlanta that dove into the entertainment business in 2000 by doing promotional work for major rap talents like Youn Jeezy, Slim Thug and Fabolous. In 2004 BMF was nominated for a Source Award and appeared in numerous underground hip-hop magazines. In 2008 Big Meech was sentenced to 30 years in prison for running a nationwide crack cocaine trafficking ring across the U.S. based solely upon informant testimony from former BMF members. He is now serving out his sentence in Atlanta USP in Atlanta, Georgia and will be released in December of 2031 sometime around his 61st birthday.
Larry Hoover aka Chairman of the Board is a convicted American murderer and the alleged leader of the Black Gangster Disciple Nation (BGDN) aka the Gangster Disciples Gang in Chicago. Hoover has been in prison continuously since 1973 and is currently serving a life sentence at the Supermax ADX Florence facility in Florence, Colorado. Hoover was appointed leader of the BGDN in 1974 after the death of David Barksdale and after numerous run-ins with the law Hoover's continued involvement with the gang prompted a 5-year undercover investigation by the federal government which led to drug conspiracy charges, extortion and other criminal charges against him. Hoover was arrested at the Vienna Correctional Center by federal agents in 1995 and moved to the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Chicago then found guilty of these charges in 1997 along with six of his associates and was transferred to a federal prison in Terre Haute, Indiana for a life sentence. Larry Hoover has three sons: Larry Bernard Hoover, Larry "Mo" Hoover and Tyree Hover.
