#TrillTalk A few months back Bill Gates and Warren Buffet took on an incredibly ambitious goal with the world's wealthiest figures called the $600-Billion Challenge encouraging other wealthy people to give. The first 40 billionaires who have volunteered to commit to giving the majority of their wealth to philanthropy have been revealed in what is now called The Giving Pledge.
More than 3 dozen billionaires including well known philanthropists like David Rockefeller and Mayor Michael Bloomberg of New York and other less familiar big donors have promised at least half of their fortunes to charity. The program has predicted that it will draw $600-billion dollars into philanthropy, which is about twice the estimated total amount given by Americans last year.
