bruno is the biggest austrian superstar since hitler according to the golden globe award winning comedian SASHA BARON COHEN. and the white obama according to the rapper SNOOP DOGG who made a cameo in the film.
overall i thought the movie bruno was much better than borat but it had a few too many explicit sex jokes for my own personal taste. we all thought the dominatrix at the swingers party with the gigantic balloon implants was totally over the top . . .
my favorite part of the movie (and one of the only funny parts of the movie where cohen is not showing off his landing strip pubes) was when bruno takes a karate lesson in order to protect himself against various gay attack moves including how to disarm against a dildo. so clever!
i also loved the part of the movie where bruno tries to stop being gay and decides to go to what he calls cock-a-holics anonymous !! omg so funny i was cracking up. and when bruno tries to make peace in the middle east in a scheme to get famous and tells the israeli prime minister and the president of palestine not to shoot each other but to kill christians instead.
and i really enjoyed the hunting slash wilderness male bonding scene where bruno starts asking all of the guys which SEX & THE CITY character they identify with most.
the film had way too many inappropriate blow job slash anal bleaching jokes to be rated-R ?! in my opinion but was still very entertaining. and the soundtrack includes a trance rendition of the popular rejoicing hebrew folk song HAVA NAGILA covered by axel jaeger:
