924 entertainment and natural tones concepts presents the lions den at club zanzibar in santa monica. the event will feature RAS KASS and SADAT X as well as MEDUSA and NOCANDO and some others and you are cordially invited.
the doors will open at 8pm and its only $15-dollars so i suggest you get it together and take a trip over to the westside to witness this fine showcase. because sadat x and ras kass and medussa are all legit hip-hop legends. and @mcnocando is one of the illest rappers of the new generation and debatably the best in LOS ANGELES.
a little bit more about sadat x . . . his name comes from the 3rd-president of egypt named anwar sadat who was assassinated in 1981. x is originally from the BRONX and is best known for his ties to BRAND NUBIAN which is a conscious and politically charged crew from new york that released their first major hit single in 1989. sadat x played point guard for the howard university basketball team in college and now coaches kids basketball for the new york city basketball league. he is also qualified as a firefighter in new rochelle new york and has also worked as an elementary school teacher.
ras kass is also a veteran of the game. he is from carson california and released his first album in 1996. the album entitled SOUL ON ICE was named after a famous black panther text written by ELDRIDGE CLEAVER which addresses race relations from a militant AFROCENTRIC perspective. ras kass has recorded with notable cali rappers like DR DRE an xzibit and mack-10 and KURUPT as well as WU TANG producer RZA and twista and canibus and KILLAH PRIEST. the word swagger does not even begin to describe what this man does to a microphone and he is one of the best live rap performers i have ever seen.
and MEDUSA is one of the only females who actually gets respect up on the mic. she has been holding it down for real ellay hip-hop for over 15-years. plus she is pretty and she doesnt suck at rapping.
