NOLA BOYS IN COURT TODAY

dwayne michael carter aka LIL WAYNE was granted some additional time from an arizona judge to prepare for an upcoming felony drug and weapons charges trial. and the grammy winning rapper will now appear in court this coming october.

carters motor home was stopped and searched near the border of yuma in dateland arizona back in january of 2008 with the use of canines. agents reported finding 105-grams of marijuana and 29-grams of cocaine and 41-grams of ecstasy plus other miscellaneous drug paraphernalia on board.

weezys attorneys requested additional time to inspect the dog handlers and the evidence list from the scene of the crime which included weapons and drugs. wayne was also given some additional time for a separate lawsuit involving copyright infringement allegations.

C-MURDER was found guilty today for second-degree murder by the second jury verdict this week and has been sentenced to LIFE IN PRISON without the possibility of parole. corey miller aka c-murder is a rapper from the calliope projects in new orleans louisiana. "they call me c-murder cuz i see murder."


today miller was given the mandatory life sentence following his conviction in the 2002 shooting of a 16-year old fan named steve thomas at a louisiana nightclub in harvey which has since been shut down.

c-murder had already been convicted in this same case in 2003 but had that conviction overturned on appeal. he was found guilty in the case again on tuesday morning but the judge made the jury return to deliberations because he suspected that their verdict had been rushed. the jury voted 10-2 in their second verdict finding that c-murder did in fact shoot the youngster thomas once in the chest after being beaten by the rappers friends in january of 2002. the rappers attorney did request a new trial however this was rejected by the judge along with the possibility of parole.

c-murder also pleaded no contest to another second degree attempted murder charge which stemmed from a different 2001 incident in baton rouge. c-murder allegedly pulled a gun on the bouncer at louisianas club raggs in a separate case which is scheduled for sentencing on august 25, 2009.
