the basterds are a group of jewish american guerilla soldiers led by the ruthless lieutenant BRAD PITT. they spread fear through 3rd-reich germany by scalping and brutally killing nazis and cross paths with a young jewish refugee from france by the name of shosanna dreyfus.
at age-18 shosanna witnesses the slaughter of her family by the evil traitor of a colonel hans landa and narrowly escapes her life and moves from the countryside into the city where she owns and operates an independent movie theater. dreyfus is played by the parisian actress MELANIE LAURENT who not only graces the audience with her gorgeous good looks but also rips aldolph hitler and the nazi people a new one.
