princess tiana is the first african-american princess to appear in a disney movie. she will debut in their new animated film entitled the princess and the frog which will be out in theaters in new york and los angeles on november 25th and to other less important locations on december 11th.
anika noni rose will play the voice of princess tiana and the movie will also feature oprah winfrey and john goodman and terrence howard and many others.
the new disney musical is set in the mystical bayous of new orleans on the banks of the mighty mississippi river. its an unforgettable tale of love and enchantment and discovery in the fabled french quarter that includes voodoo spells and cajun charm and singing crocodiles.
