before all the @peeweeherman movies of the late 1980s and national media attention he received for his legal drama in the early 90s paul reubens had a television show on hbo called THE PEE-WEE HERMAN SHOW which ran for 5-sellout months turning him into an instant cult hero for life. between 1986 and 1990 reubens starred as @peeweeherman in a saturday morning childrens program on cbs called PEE-WEE'S PLAYHOUSE. and i know you wont believe me when i say this but the new show is even more artistic and family oriented than both 1980s television programs and all the movies combined.
