it was 1993 and the wutang clan released their debut album called 36 chambers for the first time on CD. when you took off the wrapping and opened up the jewel case there were three items inside. the first was the compact disc of course. the second item was the cd booklet. and can anyone tell me what was the third item ?
yes you guessed it! the third item included in this beautiful gift from da godz was an order form for their clothing company called WU-WEAR. there was a picture of a giant pile of clothing including hockey jerseys and hoodies and beanies and tee shirts and you could select which items you wanted to purchase and send away for them.
in 1996 the rza made a song featuring methodman and CAPPADONNA entitled wu-wear: the garment renaissance. it was part of the soundtrack for the movie high school high then released on 12" and then in 1999 it appeared on the rza's greatest hits album. it is a really dope song with an ill beat not to mention the fact that wutang gives you instructions on how to dress cool.
